Chrissie had a great time with this friendly and welcoming ‘Choices’ group delivering a lively interactive morning entertainment all about life story writing with a menu of delicious tales to tell about the ‘lives’ she’s helped to write. She included a brief light-hearted glimpse back to life writers of the past with tips and suggestions for today, including what to put in; what to leave out; tricky decisions about skeletons in cupboards and getting published! There were plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and to share a few tales, along with opportunities to be inspired by browsing a collection of interesting extracts, works in progress, and completed life stories.

Several members of the audience shared some great snippets of life stories with me and I really hope that the event has encouraged them to write those down, capturing them for future generations of their families.

Thank you for making me feel so welcome, and special thanks to Diane for organising this event and for those delish cakes. Looking forward to seeing you all again before too long.
