To celebrate 100 years of the Women’s Institute in Derbyshire the Federation will publish an anthology of stories and poems edited by Chrissie Hall, written by members of Derbyshire Federation and submitted for judging as part of the Derbyshire Eisteddfod in 2015
The brief consisted of:-
Category 1 – Poetry Writing – an original poem in any style not less than 20 and not more than 40 lines, previously unpublished, on the theme ‘One Hundred’.
Category 2 – Short Story writing – an original short story up to 500 words, previously unpublished on the theme ‘One Hundred’.
The Derbyshire ‘Eisteddfod’ held in 2015 marked the National Federation of Women’s Institutes centenary and was an inspired idea linking the national centenary back to the location of the first ever W.I. meeting in the United Kingdom – Wales in 1915.
