Thank you to the lovely group of students who worked together writing their life stories … and doing all that filing and labelling!! What a modest group you were, so many heroines, so many jobs and careers, in banks, schools, hospitals, the military, hairdressing, youth work, and how lovely to work with an early pioneer female architect – the only woman at the time to be training in a male dominated profession.
We enjoyed hearing about strong father/daughter relationships, and we will all remember the unconventional telephone line arrangements enjoyed by four children living nextdoor-but-one to each other. It was a pleasure meeting you all, and I hope you enjoyed your Denman experience as much as I did. Keep writing and keep in touch.
